Operational Step

3min

An Operational Step is used when a specific task needs to be executed with a given set of parameters where the task can be executed more successfully using AI. These are typically complex tasks that require a higher level of computation power where traditional code based implementations are not sufficient.

For example, summarizing a long passage using AI is an Operational Step which can be easily achieved using the Summarization model.

In the above example, using a Summarization model to interpret a long passage of text is an operational step in an AI Automation workflow.

An Operational Step can be attached to another Operational Step or a Conditional Step.

How to create an Operational Step?

As shown in the Creating a New Data Machine section, to create an Operational Step, simply drag and drop the Operational step from the toolbox in the Editor Grid. Once the Operational Step block is added to the Editor grid, the information section to the right of the screen will present the options to configure the step with your desired functionality.

In order to complete the setup of an Operational Step, the following information needs to be configured.
