Comments
All Qualetics insights support the ability for teams to collaborate on. Comments is one such standard feature where users and teams can share their perspective and thoughts on data trends they are observinng.
Comments are available to add on the Quick Look, Visualize View and the Analyze View sections for all users in all plans.
Go to the Comments section and start typing a comment in the text area that says "Add a comment".
After the comment text is added as shown above. Click on Send and the comment is added to the insight. A confirmation message is displayed once the comment is added as shown below.
The newly added comment will appear at the top of the comments list below the insight.
When entering comments, users can optionally tag other users in their comments to notify them or bring to their attention any aspect of the data they are reviewing.
In order to start tagging, start typing the message and using the "@" symbol to pull up the list of users added in the system. If there are no users, this list will be empty and the functionality will not work. Please see how to add and manager users in the User Management part of the documentation.
Whenever a user is tagged in a comment, the tagged user is notified by email to review the comment. The comment is not shown in the email and the user will need to login to the Portal to view the comment. A link to the comment will be provided as shown in the image below.
All comments support the functionality to engage with other users by the use of replies. Users can reply to others comments or to their own comments as well with additional details.
In order to reply to any existing comment, go the list of comments in the comments section and click on the text that says "Reply". When clicked, a new text area will appear that says "Add a reply".
Start typing your reply and click on "Send" once the reply is complete.
A confirmation message showing the comment getting added successfully is displayed as shown below.
The saved comment is now displayed below the comment it was replied to.
Link to Insight allows a user to review the insight at the point of time that the comment was added.
For example, a colleague of yours, reviews the data for the first week of September and adds a comment specifically related to the user metrics from 4th September, adding a comment for the data in the that date range automatically tags the comment to 4th September.
When you review the comment and click on Link to Insight, you will be redirected to the insight with the dates of the comment pre-selected and data loaded.
