Testing a Data Machine
Every Data Machine created needs to be tested to validate the input parameters and the output being generated. This is especially important for Data Machines built with multiple steps.
Data Machines can be tested during the Final step configuration.
After entering the details required in the Final Step, click on the button titled "Save & Test The Data Machine" if this is the first time it is being created.
If an existing Data Machine is being modified, the button will be titled, "Update & Test The Data Machine"
Clicking on the button in either case would launch the Data Machine testing interface as shown below.
Note: The inputs shown on the testing screen will vary depending on the AI model selected in the first step on the Data Machine. In the example below, the inputs shown below are for the Detect PII model added as an first step in the sequence of this Data Machine.
Providing the inputs appropriate to the model and clicking on the button to Test the Data Machine will display the results of the execution as shown below. The output format will be displayed in a JSON format.
If the results of the execution are satisfactory, click on "Test Successful. Close This Window"
The Final Step editor section will now display the option to Publish the Data Machine.
